CID complaint over school textbook printing error
Secretary of Education Ministry lodged a complaint with the CID over the publication of the web address of an adult website on a grade six school textbook.
The printing error was discovered in the newly printed Grade 6 English language module as part of the education reforms which contains a reference to an inappropriate website.

Former MP Johnston Fernando's son remanded
Yesterday the Financial Crimes Investigation Department (FCID) arrested former Minister Johnston Fernando's son Johan Fernando for several allegations, including the alleged misappropriation of a lorry belonging to Lanka Sathosa and other vehicles and he was remanded until January 9, 2026 by the Wattala Magistrate’s Court.

His arrest came following an investigation by the
