Two women arrested over attack on lawyers

The Nugegoda Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau has arrested two women who were part of a group that allegedly attacked two lawyers near the Gamsabha Junction.

The Sri Lanka Coast Guard in 2025 has released 62,352 Turtle hatchlings from 14 locations around the country, which are manned by the Coast Guard personnel under the Turtle Conservation Project.

Printed Grade 6 modules to be used in 2027

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated in Parliament that the first term modules of Grade 6 published under the new education reforms have been printed. She stressed that they had not been rejected or removed. She added that the modules will be used when the proposed new education reforms for Grade 6 are implemented in 2027.

Writ order declared for former President
