Two Ministries that were vacated following the Supreme Court ruling on former Ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara have been brought under the purview of President Ranil Wickremesinghe through a gazette notification.
Accordingly, the Ministries of Tourism and Lands, Sports and Youth Affairs, and Labour and Foreign Employment are brought under the purview of the President.
Earlier, both Ministers lost their Parliamentary seats and subsequently Cabinet posts after the Supreme Court upheld their expulsion from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) for crossing over to the government.
