Two underworld gang members wanted for a triple murder were shot dead by the Special Task Force in Minuwangoda today morning, Police said.
They shot dead after they reportedly returned fire at the STF during an attempt to arrest them, Police claimed.
They were wanted for the murder of a father and son in Yakkalamulla as well as another murder in Uragaha.
The STF recovered two firearms from the scene.
The two men were reportedly working under the directions of an underworld gang leader operating from overseas.
