Two youths who were travelling on a motorbike were killed in a road accident in Batticaloa- Trincomalee Main street in Thannamunai area this evening, police said.
According to police, the youths were overspeeding and collided with a tuk-tuk when turning in a bylane and then were ran over by tipper that was coming from the opposite lane. The victims aged 19 and 21 years old are residents of the Sathrukondaan area.
Eravur police arrested the driver of the dipper and further investigations over the incident are currently underway. (Pix & News- Theva Athiran)
