UNESCO has expressed future technical and other support for excavation operations in sacred city of Anuradhapura, Minister of Education, Dr. Susil Premajayantha said.
He further added that UNESCO has assured ongoing support for education, science, and culture in Sri Lanka.
The Minister made these remarks whilst outlining the topics covered at the meeting between the Director of UNESCO Ms.Audrey Azoulay and President Ranil Wickramasinghe, to the media.
He also said that Sri Lanka has frequently benefited from many forms of support and direction due to its long-standing engagement and cooperation with UNESCO, of which 194 nations are members.
