US help to conserve Godawaya Shipwreck
US Ambassador in Sri Laka Julie Chang launched the project under which documentation and conservation of objects recovered from the second century B.C. Godawaya Shipwreck will take place with the assistance of the Central Cultural Fund and Ministry of Buddha Sasana
The Ambassador said in the next two years the Central Cultural Fund’s Maritime Archeology unit will work on documenting and conserving the ship wreck
