Veteran Journalist Lakshman Jayawardana Passes Away

Veteran media personality Lakshman Jayawardana has passed away today (28). His mortal remains will be kept at his residence in Maharagama from Thursday, January 30, 2025, and the final rites will be conducted on Saturday, February 2, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Maharagama General Cemetery.

Mr. Jayawardana entered the media field in 1965, serving in leading newspapers, including Lake House. He later became the chairman of Lake House.

He also played a key role in establishing the Lankadeepa newspaper.
