Voting in the Parliamentary elections opened in more than 13,000 polling booths at 7.00 a.m today, officials said.
Over 17.1 million voters are eligible to vote in the election.
Around 70,000 Police and STF personnel have been deployed for security while around 150,000 officials are on election duty.
