Minister Wimal Weerawansa has gone into self-quarantine after several security personnel assigned to him were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.
Mr Weerawansa in a statement said that for the next two weeks he will closed down his office while the official functions of the Ministry will be carried out uninterrupted.
He however called on the public to minimise visiting the Ministry in view of the police persons being infected.
