A 36-year-old woman and one of her children, who reached Madurai via South Korea and Sri Lanka from China, on Tuesday have tested positive for Covid-19, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma. Subramanian has said.
Indian media reported that the passengers were subjected to RT-PCR tests at the Madurai airport.
The minister said the family has been informed to be isolated in their home and district health authorities are closely monitoring the COVID patients.
