An abandoned T-56 gun, along with magazines were found in a canal near Semman Odai, Valaichchenai area of Batticaloa today, police said.
Officer In Charge (OIC) of Valaichchenai Police station Dhananjaya Peramuna said that weapon was found when police launched a search operation today morning following a tip-off given to police. Police is carrying out the investigations.
