The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will take action against members who participated at the recently held Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna rally at the Sugathadasa Stadium, General Secretary, Dayasiri Jayasekara said yesterday (Aug 12).
Mr Jayasekera who was speaking at a media briefing said the SLFP Central Committee would convene in the coming days and the committee would decide on the necessary action that should be taken.
The General Secretary's remarks came in the backdrop of Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa being made leader of the SLPP along with the participation of several UPFA members.
