The GCE Advanced Level (A/Level) Examinations commenced today across the country with special COVID19 health regulations being put in place. The examinations are scheduled to be held till November 6.
The Department of Examinations said that it has taken adequate steps to ensure the safety of the sitting students. It requested students to adhere to the health regulations and be present at their respective exam halls on time.

In the Central parts of the country, students from Kandy, Nuwera Eliya, Badulla and Monaragala arrived at the exam centers and followed health regulations.
Students have been instructed to wear masks, follow social distancing during the examinations. Police and local Health officials are deployed in the exam centres to ensure COVID19 health regulations are adhered to.
362, 824 students are sitting for the examinations this year in 2648 exam centres across the country.
