Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has instructed 361 national schools and 9763 provincial schools to carry out clean-up campaigns twice a week.
These instructions had been issued due to the rising spread of dengue in the country, an Education Ministry official said.
Minister Kariyawasam had also instructed the principals to submit a report on the clean-up campaigns carried out within the premises of their respective schools.
