Alagiyawanna to replace Chandrika as Acting SLFP Organiser for Attanagalla

Parliamentarian Lasantha Alagiyawanna is to be appointed as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Acting Organiser for the Attanagalla electorate replacing former President Chandrika Kumaratunga.

SLFP Acting Chairman Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said that a permanent organizer will be appointed after the presidential election on November 16.

The SLFP's Central Committee this week decided to appoint Acting Organisers to replace those who attended the convention organised by the Api Sri Lanka party led by SLFP patron Chandrika Kumaratunga

Kumaratunga, and her party have pledged support to presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa, heavily criticizing the SLFP's decision to support rival candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
