All cinema halls in the country will remain closed until October 31st as a precautionary measure amid COVID- 19, pandemic, Government Information Department said.
As of today, forty-nine more persons have been tested positive for COVID-19. Of them, 36 were associates connected to the Minuwangoda cluster while 13 were employees of the Brandix factory or their immediate associates.
Accordingly the number of persons infected with COVID-19 following the outbreak at the Brandix factory on October 3 has now gone upto 1770.
