Owner of Perpetual Treasuries (Ltd) Arjun Aloysius, and its CEO Kasun Palisena have been released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court today (Jan 01).
Accordingly, Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had ordered the suspects to be released on a cash bail of Rs 1 million each and four surety bails worth Rs 2 million for each of the suspects. In addition, the passports of both suspects have also been impounded.
Further, Magistrate Jayaratne also ordered the suspects to be present before the CID on Sunday every week.
The two individuals have been accused of direct involvement in the controversial Central Bank bond scam.
