The amesty period granted to surrender illegal weapons to the police has been extended until May 20, the Police Headquarters said.
Accordingly, individuals in possession of such weapons will be able to handover such weapons to the nearest police station via the Community Police.
The law would be enforced against persons who fail to do so, during search operations which would be carried after May 20, police said.
