Another individual suspected of abetting in the killing of a Chief Jailor attached to the Welikada Prisons Training School recently was arrested by Police yesterday (Aug 21).
T.N.Thihara Jayaratne, the jailor, had been shot dead by two gunmen on a motorcycle, in the Kuligoda area on August 3.
The suspect, a 25-year old identified as the owner of the motorcycle had been arrested in Hikkaduwa around 1:20 pm yesterday. He is due to be produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate's court today.
Previously another suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
