An individual Bulathsinhalage Niroshan Sampath who was injured during a drive-by shooting at Bloemendhal last week, died early this morning while receiving treatment at the National Hospital, Colombo, local media reported. According to the Police Media Unit, he had died around 3:50 a.m. while being treated at the Intensive Care Unit. Previously a woman had also been reported to have died from injuries sustained in the shooting also with thirteen others who were left injured following the shooting which took place during an election campaign at Bloemendhal Street, Colombo.
