Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of a chief jailor last month.
Police said the T-56 firearm and a magazine along with 12 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle used in the killing had been recovered at the time of the arrest.
The suspect has been identified as a 27-year old resident of Pannila.
Thilina Ruwan Thihara, the chief jailor of the Welikada Prison Training School was shot dead in Ambalangoda on August 3.
Accordingly, three suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the shooting.
