Anura Senanayake and Sumith Perera further remanded

Former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake and former Crime OIC of the Narahenpita Police, Sumith Perera, were remanded in custody again till July 20 in connection with the murder of former rugby player Wasim Thajudeen. 

The two suspects were remanded after being produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate. They were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

Both men are accused of concealing evidence over Thajudeen's murder.
