Minister of Health, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne has said that a new batch of cancer drugs would be brought to the island via an air consignment by today (Dec 24).
The Minister had made these remarks during a discussion with relevant authorities at the Health Ministry last Friday.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry issuing a press release said that the Apeksha hospital in Maharagama which had temporarily halted the admission of patients on Friday due to insufficient drugs, had resumed the admission of patients.
Minister Senaratne also instructed the Medical Supplies Division to supply five main cancer drugs which were reported to have ran out ot stock.
