An Army Corporal sustained injuries in a shooting reported along the Chakindarama Road in Ratmalana this morning, local media reported.
Acccording to the Police the shooting was reported at around 7.20am. The Army Corporal who sustained injuries is a resident of the same area.
Police said a group that arrived on a motorbike and a three-wheeler had opened fire at the Corporal and fled the scene. The Army Corporal has been admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital while further investigations into the incident are carried out by the Mount Lavinia Police.
