Soldiers conducting checks on Kandy, Colombo and Jaffna bound passenger buses over the weekend detected a stock of Kerala Ganja and illegal timber
On Saturday (25), troops manning a roadblock at Puttur Junction along the Kanddy-Jaffna A9 Highway recovered 2.25kg of Kerala Ganja and 99.5 sq ft of illegally transported timber when they searched five buses.
On Sunday (26), troops manning a roadblock in Omanthai recovered 4.13kg of Kerala Ganja from a Kandy bound bus from Jaffna.
