Army intelligence officer found dead in Vavuniya
An army intelligence officer who went to arrest a suspect allegedly involved in criminal activities in Vavuniya, was found dead in a well last night.
It is suspected that he had fallen into the unprotected well by accident.
He had left his army camp around 7.30pm last night. The army had launched a search to locate him after he failed to return after several hours and efforts to contact him failed.
