Australian High Commissioner John Phillip has lauded Sri Lanka's efforts in safeguarding the independence of the judiciary and rule of law.
The High Commissioner had made this remark during a meeting with Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms Thalatha Athukorale yesterday (Mar 15).
Mr. Phillip had also said that the Australian government would assist Sri Lanka in developing the judicial system and also by providing legal training in the country.
