A barge with nine crew men off the Rumassala coast near Galle harbour capsized today owing to rough seas.
The nine crew members were subsequently rescue by the Sri Lanka Navy.
The rescued crew members are being brought ashore the Navy said. No injuries have been reported among the crew.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
