The petition filed by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) concerning the Easter Sunday bombings was fixed for June 06 by the Supreme Court.
The lawyer's body had filed a fundamental petition demanding several reliefs while also seeking a fuller judge bench to hear the case.
Among the demands put forward by the petitioners was that action must be taken against individuals who thwart investigations which are being carried out into the recent terrorist attacks.
Police chief Pujith Jayasundara, former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando, and the cabinet of ministers were named as respondents to the petition.
