BBS requests presidential pardon for Gnanasara Thero and Duminda Silva

The Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) has requested President Maithripala Sirisena to grant presidential pardon to BBS Secretary Ganasara Thero and former MP Duminda Silva.

The statement was made at a media briefing held today.

Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero was sentenced to 6 months of rigorous imprisonment for threatening Sandya Ekneligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda while Duminda Silva was sentenced to death after being convicted in the murder of Former MP Bharatha Lakshman and three others.
