A Beliatta pradeshiya sabha member has been hospitalized following a shooting at a residence in Modarawana earlier today (Mar 20).
The shooting was carried out between 06:15 and 7:30 am, Police Spokesman S.P. Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The victim has been identified as A.M. Kapila Priyadarshana and is believed to be between the age of 40 and 45.
Beliatta police are carrying further investigations into the shooting incident.
