#BuildingCollapse: One more rescued, heavy rain hinders rescuers

Update : Another person has been rescued from beneath the rubble of the collapsed multi-storey building in Wellawatta. Rescue teams from the Army. Air Force and Fire Department are continuing their search for more survivors. 

Heavy rain currently being experienced in Colombo however, are impeding rescue efforts. Severe traffic congestion also prevails in the area along Galle Road and motorists are advised to use alternate routes. 

At least 21 persons who were injured in the incident are being treated at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital and the Colombo National Hospital.
