Cabinet approves Budget 2019 ahead of presentation
Cabinet approved the budget at its meeting today (Feb 5), a few hours ahead of its presentation in Parliament by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera today (Mar 05).
The meeting is reported to have commenced at 8:30 am.
The Second Reading of the Budget will commence at 2.00 p.m. today and the debate is slated to continue for 6 days until March 12.
