Cabinet approves proposal to include Law as a subject in school curriculum
The cabinet today (Jan 07) granted approval to include Law as a subject in the school curriculum in the near future.
The motive of infusing this subject into the school curriculum is to educate children on law from a small age, Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, Thalatha Athukorale said.
She added that educating children on important aspects of law such as the constitution, the penal code and the criminal procedure code, was vital for establishing a law abiding society.
