The cabinet of ministers has granted approval to increase the benefits of the Suraksha Insurance Scheme for students across the country.
Accordingly, the daily allowance stipulated to be granted in case of hospitalisation which was Rs 1000 has been increased to Rs 3000 while the financial cover for external treatments has been increased upto Rs 20,000.
The payout issued in case of parental death has also been increased from Rs 75,000 to Rs 200,000.
