Cabinet approval has been granted to expedite the process of conducting a forensic audit into the bond scam and to publish its report within three months.
This decision was taken during yesterday's (Mar 19) cabinet meeting which was chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena at the President's Secretariat.
Accordingly, it was also decided to call for international tenders in order to obtain the assistance of foreign experts to conduct the forensic audit.
