The Kurunegala Magistrate today ordered the postponement of the case against Dr Mohamed Shafi of the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital until December 12. The case was taken up for the fourth time today (Aug 9).
At the beginning of the trial, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) submitted a 12-page report on the investigations to the court and informed the court about the manner in which they were conducted.
Subsequently, both the defendant and the accused filed submissions before the court. After considering the facts, the Kurunegala Magistrate ordered the postponement of the case till December 12.
