The case filed against Ven. Galagodaththe Gnanasara Thero for obstructing the duties of police officers has been fixed for November 1 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s court.
During today’s hearing, police informed court that they have sought the advice of the Attorney General to amend the charge sheet filed against the accused.
Gnanasara Thero has been accused of being a part of an unlawful gathering which had obstructed the duties of police officers who had been engaged in a narcotic eradication exercise in Welikada in 2017.
