The case filed against Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage for misappropriating funds worth Rs 3.9 million belonging to the Sri Lanka Freedom Workers Congress (SLFWC) has been postponed until June 14.
This was announced when the case was taken up before the Colombo High Court today (Mar 19).
High Court Judge Dammika Ganepola had postponed the case until the said date since since the Judge who was appointed to hear the case was not present at the hearing as he was on official leave.
Meanwhile, the accused had told court that a request would be filed seeking approval to allow MP Aluthgamage to travel overseas.
Three charges have been filed against the Parliamentarian by the Attorney General in this case.
