With the detection of 435 COVID -19 cases on Friday (20), the total number from the second wave of the virus has increased to 15, 765, the Government Information Department said.
All 435 tested positive were from the Peliyagoda COVID cluster and their close contacts.
A 70 year old male from Colombo 02 died at the National Hospital, Colombo after suffering from a heart attack triggered by coronavirus, the Director General of Health Services has confirmed.
