Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran will appear at the “Naduwa” program on ITN tonight, to talk about the Treasury bond issue. The programme will be telecasted at 10.00pm. It is alleged that Arjuna Mahendran was involved in an insider dealing during the issue of Treasury bonds on February 27 this year. It was alleged that a company connected to his son-in-law profited in the deal. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed a three member committee to investigate the matter. The committee found several serious shortcomings in the procedure but cleared Mahendran of direct responsibility.
