CEB warns of power failures as CPC suspends fuel supply

News

Power failures may occur since the fuel supply to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has been cut-off, a CEB official said today (Jul 9).

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) had suspended the supply of fuel since the electricity board had not fulfilled its overdue fuel purchase payments to the CPC for its power stations.
