Entrust Securities Plc Director Chanuka Ratwatte was permitted to travel overseas by the Colombo High Court today (Dec 2).
The order was issued when a misappropriation case against Ratwatte and five others were taken up for hearing this morning.
The suspects who are all Directors of Entrust Securities have been charged under the Finance Business Act for accepting savings deposits allegedly without Central Bank approval.
High Court judge Vikum Kaluarachchi, ordered Ratwatte to appear before court during the next hearing on December 13.
