Chinese People’s Army Navy (PLAN) ship “Zhu Ke Zhen” was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy upon arrival at the Colombo Port for a six day visit yesterday (Nov 14).
The ship is 129m in length, has a displacement capacity of 4900 tons and comprises a crew of 150 Naval personnel on-board, the Navy said in a press statement.
Senior Captain Yang Boran, the Commander of the ship had held talks with Western Naval Area Commander Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe at the Western Naval Command Headquarters.
Chinese Army, Navy and Air Defence Attache in Sri Lanka, Senior colonel Zhu Giyanchei and officers of the ship were also present during the discussions.
