The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has commenced an investigation regarding the news report carried by an Australian website claiming that an employee of his office, when he served as the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Services demanded 'political donation' to approve a project, Cabinet spokesman Minister Rajitha Senarathne said today.
Earlier President Sirisena instructed the Attorney General (AG) department to carry out a comprehensive investigation in to the matter.
