The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has launched a probe into four serious crimes which had been manipulated by druglord 'Makandure Madush' from Dubai, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The four crimes are as follows :
The phone call records of Makandure Madush, his associates involved in these crimes, and the victims are currently under examination, the Police Spokesman told a news conference this afternoon.
He added that two pistols and a T-56 weapon which are believed to have been used in these killings had been recovered upon questioning of Madush who is under CID custody following his deportation from Dubai.
These weapons had been recovered from the Weliweriya and Meegamuwa areas, Mr. Gunasekara said adding that they would be sent to the Government Analyst for an examination.
