Police have received several leads in the case involving the killing of two Policemen in Batticaloa and continuing to work on the case, IGP Pujith Jayasundara said.
"This is not a normal investigation. A team comprising CID officers and the Police are working very closely on the investigations," the IGP noted.
He further said that it is yet to be determined whether the 48-year-old suspect had connections with the LTTE and the motives behind such actions, if any.
He added that full details would be provided as soon as the CID concludes its investigations.
