The CID has informed court that a Hong Kong company by the name of 'Data Expert' were able to retrieve huge amounts of erased data from the phone of the Director of the Anti-Corruption Front Namal Kumara.
Accordingly, the CID informed court that they received 60 pages of a data report along with a 39GB pendrive consisting of data which contained deleted records from the phone of Mr. Kumara.
The CID further informed court that several voice recordings from the phone of Mr. Kumara were found to be deleted, as such the CID informed court that phone would be sent to Hong Kong next week in order to attempt to restore the deleted calls.
