The CID informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate that they had ample evidence to warrant a statement from former Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne over the alleged murder of 11 people between 2008 and 2009.
The CID is expected to summon Admiral Wijegunaratne to obtain a statement next week.
